[edit source]My 2c. How about enloga or is that massive abuse? Another alternative is signata en. --Wayne 19:54, 23 novembre 2007 (UTC)
I had considered "enloga" which implies the opposite "ekloga". I suspect there are various acceptable (and not necessarily incompatible) solutions owing to the excellent flexibility offered by Novial! Nov ialiste 01:51, 24 novembre 2007 (UTC)
- I'm not, as you may have guessed, very keen on using anything with the -log- root as a basis. However the idea of an en-/ek- pair is quite attractive (note the German use of "anmelden"/"abmelden.") It is certainly true that, unlike Esperanto, Novial does not try to ban synonyms (Even Esperanto, which tries to do so, fails!) and we may end up with a number of alternatives. -- BRG 14:44, 24 novembre 2007 (UTC)
- Perhaps Wayne's "signata en" could be rendered more compactly as "ensignata" (with a corresponding "eksignata")? --BRG 21:40, 28 novembre 2007 (UTC)
Some of the Romance languages would suggest envada/ekvada (enter/exit), although I'm not terribly keen on that. Being explicit about entering the "log" seems preferable to me. The French Wikipedia has "se connecter", to connect oneself (konekte se), but again it seems a bit vague to me. Nov ialiste 02:06, 29 novembre 2007 (UTC)
- I think "ensignata" and "eksignata" would be good choices for "sign in" and "sign out". NL has several examples of en- and ek- as prefixes: envada, enmigra, enbrasa, ekliti, ekmigra, ekvada etc. So we have good precedent and the forms are clear. Nov ialiste 13:43, 30 novembre 2007 (UTC)
- Do we have consensus then? --Wayne 18:30, 2 desembre 2007 (UTC)
- I'm agreeable...so I think it's time to change the messages. -- BRG 15:01, 6 desembre 2007 (UTC)
- Cool, done then. Tak for goer det BRG! Nov ialiste? --Wayne 21:04, 9 desembre 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, ensignata and eksignata are nice verbs. I did imagine they would be intransitive though. So when one signs into Wikipedia for example, I think I should prefer "Me signata en Wikipedia" rather than "Me ensignata en/a Wikipedia" as the latter seems a bit tautologous. And likewise "Me signata ek Wikipedia". In principle "ensignata" is the same as "signata enu". Nov ialiste 23:34, 9 desembre 2007 (UTC)
